Portable generators are wonderful things to have for that ocasional power outage, but be careful how you connect it to your home. The simple way to use it safely is to simply connect an extension cord to the generator and then connect the freezer or refigerator to the cord. Portable generators are very useful in the event of a power outage. They can keep your freezer and refrigerator on and run a portable heater to help keep you warm, but using them improperly can burn your home down, or even cause death. Please follow the guidelines below for safe use.
